PREMISE:
Jonathan Hart (Robert Wagner) was a self made millionaire and was also the CEO of Hart Industries. He lives with her beautiful wife, who is a pretty woman and is a freelance journalist. They both are a happy family and in their spare time used to do immature detective activities. These activities lead them to be involved in drugs cases, smuggling case and in more common Murder cases. They have a very lovely Chauffer cum butler name Max, who used to rescue them while they are struck in odd situations. Their pet dog name is Freeway, who was so named because he was found by both on a freeway road, when the dog was a stray.
PRODUCTION:
In the beginning of this project the great writer and screenplay writer Sidney Sheldon wrote a similar story about a happily married couple who both are spies. Being unfilmed for years and was purchased by CBS, it was then handed over to the producers Aaron and Leonard. They both though over the script and hired Tom Mankiewicz to revamp the script from head to toe to make it more interesting and as per the trend of current drama series. Tom had already scripted the first three series of James Bond and was an expert one. He accepted the offer and started working on the work of Sidney Sheldon. Tom also directed the pilot episodes of the series.
The initial cast for the role of Mr. Hart was Cary Grant. However, Grant was more than 75 years old and had left the acting career, therefore, both the producers then hired Rober Wagner to fulfill the same requirement of great Persona of Cary Grant.
Before offering the role of Jennifer Hart of Stefainne Powers the initial cast was Suzanne Pleshette and Lindsay Wagner, but after some time producers thought that it will deem fit and proper to put Powers in this role.
