Are you afraid of the dark DVD complete series collection with all episodes and seasons on DVDs
There is this Canadian-American which is a horror and fantasy themed type of TV series that your kids may love to watch and get back to â€" Are You Afraid of the Dark? This TV series was a join production between Nickelodeon and Cinar. The film setting was done in Montreal, Quebec and Richmond, British Columbia.
The pilot episode of this TV series is "The Tale of the Twisted Claw" which was aired October 1991 in the U.S. and on year before at the same month in Canada. In Nick, “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” aired from August 1992 up to April 1996 until a revived series was introduced.
From the revived series, there came new writers, directors and casting which was produced by 1990 up to 2000 and then was as well aired via Snick. The original and the revived series both revolves around the story of a specific teenage group of individuals called "The Midnight Society". The whole setting was taken in the woods where these teenagers meet to tell their own horror stories.
The teenagers would go to a certain location in the woods which they call their secret place and will get themselves ready for a member that is supposed to tell a scary story. The story changes every week but the theme doesn’t change, which means you get to watch the same fantasy-horror type of stories that these group of teenagers share with the viewers.
The story is shown at the middle of the show. As mentioned the introduction shows the arrival of the teenagers at their secret place where the introduction of the title of the story pulls up. Then the story will be shown in the middle, and as the story ends it goes back to the setting where the teenagers are talking about the story and leave their secret place.
The themes of the stories in this TV series are quite interesting since it is more related to paranormal things such haunted houses, witches, aliens, ghosts, goblins and many more haunted creatures to mention which come in contact with normal being especially teenagers. This is definitely a good show that kids may enjoy to go over with.
