California Dreams is an American TV series that aired from 1992 to 1996. The teen-oriented program aired on Saturday mornings on NBC. It was created by writers Brett Dewey and Ronald B. Solomon and executive produced by Peter Engel, all known more for their work on Saved by the Bell. California Dreams was about a multiethnic group of teens and their band. The show's plots combined real-life issues with zany adventures. It covered a range of topics such as fear, using drugs for a competitive edge, falling for scams, letting greed overtake friendship, accepting a divorced parent dating, forgiving others for past wrongs, and dealing with general teen social problems.

To date, the only member of the cast to continue a steady acting career is Kelly Packard, who was cast in Baywatch and as a co-host of Ripley's Believe it or Not!.

Looking for an American teen oriented type of TV series to consider watching, you can track down the wonderful episodes of California Dreams that can surely entertain you. This particular sitcom aired from the year 1992 up to 1996. It was then regularly aired Saturday mornings via NBC's TNBC block. The writers of this program are Ronald B. Solomon and Brett Dewey. Peter Engel was the one who produced this TV sitcom who’s know to have worked on Saved by the Bell.

You might be wondering what California Dreams is, well it’s a group of teens from different races combined in a band having to share their own teenage adventures and friendship with each other. The plots were merely concentrated on true to life issues as well as the gang having to encounter wacky adventures along the way.

You will find that the stories will be evolving generally on the Garisson family. In its initial season, you will be able to get access to a variety of characters in the show such as Matt Garrison the leader of the band which was portrayed by Brent Gore, Jenny Garrison who plays the piano and the vocalist of the band which was portrayed by Heidi Lenhart. There also are the other members of the Garrison family such as the mother named Melody played by Gail Ramsey and the father Richard played by Michael Cutt.

The other characters of the story include the band members which are always present in the show for the entire season such as Tiffani Smith the bass player played by Kelly Packard, Tony Wicks the drummer played by William James Jones and of course the teenage manager of the band Sly Winkle portrayed by Michael Cade.

After the first season, the network executives decided to change the format as well as the focus on the Garrison family, instead they thought of focusing on the characters and lives of the individual band members for a change. This season introduced a new member of the California Dreams Band which is Jake Sommers as the second guitarist played by Jay Anthony Franke.
